Terms of Service (TOS)

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Sherlock Holmes (“the Company”) and its members regarding the use of all services provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

① “Service” refers to all Sherlock Holmes–related services accessible across all devices (PC, TV, mobile, etc.).
② “Member” refers to any user who agrees to these Terms and uses the Company’s services.
③ “ID” refers to the combination of letters and numbers selected by the user and approved by the Company for identification.
④ “Password” refers to the combination of letters and numbers set by the user to verify identity.
⑤ “Content” or “Posts” refer to all forms of information posted by members—text, images, audio, video, files, links, etc.

Article 5 (Personal Information Protection)

The Company complies with applicable laws, including the Information and Communications Network Act, to protect member information. The Company's Privacy Policy applies except on external websites linked from the service.

Article 6 (Member Responsibility for ID & Password)

① Members are responsible for managing their ID and password and must not allow third-party use.
② The Company may restrict IDs that are inappropriate, misleading, or potentially harmful.
③ Members must notify the Company immediately if unauthorized use is detected.
④ The Company is not responsible for damages resulting from failure to report such incidents.

Article 7 (Notices to Members)

① Notices may be delivered via email, messages within the service, or other channels.
② Company-wide notices may be posted on the website for at least 7 days.

Article 8 (Obligations of the Company)

① The Company shall not engage in actions prohibited by law or social norms and will make efforts to provide stable services.
② The Company shall maintain security systems to protect Member information and shall comply with its published Privacy Policy.
③ The Company shall process Member inquiries and complaints deemed reasonable and inform Members of the results via bulletin boards or email.

Article 9 (Member Obligations)

Members must not engage in the following:
- Submitting false information
- Using another person’s information
- Altering Company-posted information
- Transmitting unauthorized software or data
- Infringing intellectual property
- Defamation or interference with Company operations
- Posting obscene, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content
- Using the service for commercial purposes without permission
- Any unlawful or improper behavior
Members must comply with all notices, guidelines, and relevant regulations.

Article 10 (Provision of Services)

① The Company provides the following services:
1. Bulletin-board services (announcements, community boards, etc.)
2. Any additional services developed or offered in partnership
② Services are available 24/7 unless otherwise specified.
③ Services may be suspended due to maintenance, equipment replacement, breakdowns, or unavoidable operational reasons. Notices will be provided when possible.
④ Regular maintenance schedules will be announced.

Article 11 (Changes to Services)

① The Company may modify or discontinue services for operational or technical reasons.
② Changes will be posted on the service page prior to implementation.
③ Free services may be modified or discontinued without compensation unless required by law.

Article 12 (Provision of Information & Advertising)

① The Company may provide information deemed necessary through notices or email. Members may opt out except for transaction-related communications.
② Sending information via phone or fax requires prior consent, except for transaction-related purposes.
③ The Company may display advertising on the service or via email. Members may request to opt out.
④ Users must not alter or restrict advertisements or notices.

Article 13 (Copyright of Posts)

① Copyright of posts belongs to the creator.
② Posts may appear in search results, services, or promotional materials and may be edited for display purposes. Members may request deletion, exclusion from search results, or privacy settings.
③ Any use beyond these purposes requires prior consent.

Article 14 (Management of Posts)

① If posts violate applicable laws, the rights holder may request deletion or suspension. The Company must comply.
② Even without a request, the Company may act if infringement is evident or if posts violate policy or laws.
③ Related procedures follow the Company’s “Take-down Request Service,” in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 15 (Ownership of Rights)

① Copyright and intellectual property rights of the Service belong to the Company, except for posts and works provided under partnerships.
② Members receive only a license to use accounts, IDs, and content according to Company-defined conditions; transfer or sale is prohibited.

Article 16 (Termination of Agreement)

① Members may terminate their account at any time through the service interface. The Company will process requests promptly.
② Upon termination, Member data will be deleted except where retention is required by law.
③ Posts associated with the Member’s personal account (e.g., mail, blogs) will be deleted.
Posts added, shared, or saved by others, or posts on public boards, will not be automatically deleted.

Article 18 (Limitation of Liability)

① The Company is not responsible for service interruptions caused by natural disasters or force majeure.
② The Company is not liable for issues arising due to Member negligence.
③ The Company is not responsible for accuracy or reliability of Member-generated content.
④ The Company is not liable for transactions between Members or between Members and third parties conducted via the Service.
⑤ The Company is not responsible for free services unless required by law.

Article 19 (Governing Law & Jurisdiction)

① Disputes between the Company and Members are governed by Korean law.
② Jurisdiction is based on the Member’s address or residence at the time of filing; otherwise, jurisdiction is determined by civil procedure law.
③ For Members residing overseas, the Seoul Central District Court shall have jurisdiction.
